Combat Traits

Power Attack

Before you make a melee attack, you can voluntarily accept a -1 penalty to all your AD. If any of the AD hit, you deal half your Mallet value worth of Impact. This trait can only be used with weapons that gain AD from Mallet.

Improvements:

Taunt

You can taunt an enemy within close range by testing their Coronet. If you succeed, the enemy gets +1 on AD against you, but -1 on AD against others.

Improvements:

Penetrating Strikes

If you deal Impact to an enemy, cancel one Shield test for that enemy (as per the Deflect Impacts rule).

Improvements:

Battle Resolve

You are battle-hardened and for each hit you deal, your resolve is strengthened. You raise your Star value by +2. When you successfully deal impact to an enemy, regain 1 Star point lost earlier in the same encounter.

Agile Combatant

You can choose to engage enemy characters within 2” in melee.

Adventure Traits

Leadership

Your character is a capable leader and inspires those around him. Your character’s Coronet attribute is raised by +1. In addition, allied character models within 6 inches may use your character’s Coronet attribute

Surveyor

Git good at finding safe paths and exploring. WIP.

Proficient

Your character has previous experience or training in certain proficiencies. Your character gains 2 Advancement Points which can be invested in any available Proficiency.

Lore Traits

Alchemy

Your character becomes an alchemist apprentice. He or she is familiar with the basics of alchemy and can identify various alchemical compounds, ranging from simple potions to poisons.

Improvements:

Cryptographer

Your character is familiar with encryption and decryption and is considered an apprentice at its use.

Arcane Lore

Your character becomes familiar with apprentice level knowledge of spells, esoteric symbols, magical items and creatures.

Religious Lore

Your character gains apprentice level knowledge of religious figures, practises and symbols.

Spellcasting

Your character becomes an apprentice level magic user with the ability to cast spells. With this trait, you can cast spells of the 1st Magic Circle and you gain a pool of Vision points. The maximum amount of Vision points begins at 3 + Runes. More details about magic and casting spells can be found in the Magic and Spells document.
